On Tuesday I leave for my hols to Tenerife for 2 weeks! So unfortunatly I wont be able to post any images during that time. Although on the upside I will be loaded with fresh images from my hols! See you in 2 weeks time!
A striking shot!? (Excuse the pun!) Well no actually, I cheated a little; it’s actually a still from a movie I shot on my camera. Taken from my window, I manage to catch this lightning bolt as it came down to earth. I am fascinated by thunder and lightning and its awesome power.
There is somthing in this image that really appeals to me. The way the strong glow of the setting sun struggling its way through the thick layers of trees. It is as if some strange power is in the trees, either that or a fairy whizzing past!
Another image I took during the snow. We have a Monkey Puzzle Tree out in the front garden and this caught my eye as an interesting image. The intriguing subject was made by the sharp, straight edges of the tree in contrast to the soft, white snow that has settled around the thorny branches.
This eye catching image was shot last week. If you hadnt guessed its actually snow on the roof of a building. The lines create an interesting, if rather abstract image.
I took this image on Sunday after the previous nights snowfall. This drift had blown onto the road, drifting off the field in the strong winds. I like the movement of the snow that is captured within the image.
This unusual image is of two cob webs covered in frost. The webs were hanging on the side of a shed and caught my eye. I decided to angle the shot from below the webs and use the 2 strands that come down to guide the viewers eyes up the image to the main focal point.
The first snowfall of the winter fell at the weekend! Snow always provides a good opportunity to get some different shots. Although this image isn’t extraordinary I like the snow-covered land, the clear deep blue skies and the whiteness of the windmill, which stands proudly on Lytham front.
This is my pet cat, Oliver, or Oli as we call him! I was just shooting past him the other day and noticed this view. He was sat on the window ledge peering outside. I got tight to the wall for the shot and the lighting was interesting, especially on his proud, white chest!
