Halloween

Halloween.jpg

Unfortunately I don’t have any images of ghosts! So I have had to create a Halloween picture! I took this image at night, looking through a wood at a light, which was reflecting in a puddle on the floor. I have then added the red mist! Happy Halloween!

Sun lit leaves

light-through-leaves.jpg

The sunlight is striving to break through the leaves, giving them a whole new colour in the process. The range of greens and yellows is what makes the image on the dark shadow areas.

Abstract water 4

DSCF0377.JPG

This image is the last of the ‘Abstract water’ shots. The water is flowing over a rock before falling into the next level of water as it carries on in its relentless push towards the sea. I like how smooth the edge of the rock appears and how perfectly the water moves over it.

Abstract water 3

DSCF0372.JPG

The water was rolling over a large boulder, creating a stunning array of colours and textures in this very abstract shot. I love the small clear area towards the centre of the image that allows you to see through the waters surface to the rocks below. The rest of the image is a frenzy of rushing water.

Abstract Water 2

DSCF0361.JPG

In this shot, as with all of these I used a slow exposure. The sunlight was sparkling off the surface of the water and has created an abstract reflection. Its almost like the water has been covered in cling-film!
I also like the little hint of green that comes from the leaf underneath the water.

Abstract water

DSCF0343.JPG

Over the next few entries I will be posting some shots of abstract water like the one above. I find these types of images intriguing, they capture the essence of fast flowing, natural running water. You can sense the fast motion and almost hear the trickling as the water weaves its way in navigation through the rock littered floor of the stream.

Wood texture

wood.jpg

This long ago fallen tree has left a brilliant texture on its worn down trunk. The wood, worn down by time and weather has been stripped of its bark to reveal the wood beneath.

Moss drips

moss-drip.jpg

moss-drip2.jpg

I feel there isn’t much more natural than fresh water dripping from gleaming moss. The drips were flowing over the surface of the moss after a shower.

Lightning strike!

Lightning-strike!.jpg

I took this image out of my bedroom window one stormy afternoon! The bolt came straight down followed by a loud clap of thunder! Nature at its most violent! Awesome!

Flower imagery

beautiful-flower-image.jpg

I like the different aspects about this image, the bright, brilliant colours, the composition, the depth in shot and the whole general feeling. To me it has a feel-good factor attached to it.
